How To: Waltz Jump

After some time on and off, Mom and Dada decided to let me start private lessons with Coach Peggy today. We didn’t look at any other coaches because I insisted she was who I wanted. I have her on Tuesdays and Thursdays every single week, and my mom even let me stop wearing that stupid ladybug helmet. My friends at school complain about going to sports, but I don’t understand this… I get sad when it isn’t a skating day. We started Waltz Jumps my first week… This is my first jump ever, and I feel like a big girl. “People still get in my way,” I tell my mom when she asks how my first private lesson went. I wasn’t allowed to skate freestyle yet… we call it “big girl ice.” Every day after practice, my mom lets me get Welch’s gummies at the counter, and we go and watch the big girls skate. I learned what the word “awe” meant.
