I don’t know why so many kids were scared when Coach Peggy asked us to do a bunny hop. Yes, it was my first time jumping off the ice, but I don’t understand the other kids being upset. The girl to my left cried, and the boy to my right asked for his mommy. I don’t know where my mommy and daddy are, but I know they’re here. Mommy is always watching because she calls me a “clutz.” I don’t know what that means yet, but she was very mad that Dada took me skating and that I asked to go back. She bought me a helmet with ladybugs on it… I love ladybugs… “I wonder if they jump like a bunny,” I ask Coach Peggy, who ignores me for the girl who is sobbing. I get off the ice after hopping around all day, and Mommy and Daddy are very proud of me… they give me high fives for not falling and ask me what I learned today. I tell them I could “skate a lot better if all these girls got out of my way.”
